Recommended Clean Burn Stoves

Stoves listed in this section have passed tests to confirm they can burn the specified fuel without emitting smoke and have been specified by Defra as exempt appliances.

Morso Clean Burn Stoves

Morsø 1400 series models 1412 and 1442.

The Morsø 3100 series 3112 and 3142 models.

The Morsø 6140 and 6148 models.

All these stoves can be fed wood logs with less than 20% moisture. The fuel must not contain halogenated organic compounds or heavy metals as a result of treatment with wood preservatives or coatings.

Stovax Clean Burn Stoves

Huntingdon 25 models 7057 and 7058

Stockton 3 model 7118, Stockton 4 models 7101 and 7102, Stockton 5 models 7127, 7130, 7119, 7160 and 7133, Stockton 6 models 7100, 7117 and 7162, Stockton 7 models 7120, 7125F, 7125C and 7163.

All these stoves can be fed untreated dry wood. The fuel must not contain halogenated organic compounds or heavy metals as a result of treatment with wood preservatives or coatings.
